I have a feeling this is going to be a good, yet semi-uneventful year. I dont start CalstateLA until September, so im most likely not going to be going to school until then. There is absolutly no social work class I can take at mtsac now that will transfer over :(. I got straight B's this past semester which is awesome considering how hard my classes were. Im officially done with all my general ed classes too! Im going in to sign up to get my AA certificate at mtsac hopefully next week. YAY!!!!! No more math, english, bio, history poop classes again!!!! SW from here on out cant wait. I want to start looking for another part time job to have until i start school again. I have to much free time only working part time now. two part time jobs sure would keep me busy and I could start saving the $ too.
Hmmm what else? O! My sister Jessica is pregnant!! As of now she is 2 months along. I hope its a girl!! I know shes missing that special baby girl in her life. But a boy would be great too. As long as its a healthy baby, I dont think anyone can complain :).
I had submitted my application to be a Pastoral Care Minister (a Eucharistic Minister who takes the Eucharistic to the sick/elderly) and got a call to go on a 'test run' with another Pastoral Care Minister to an elderly home. Im sooo excited! Iv been putting off submitting my application because I was not sure if I wanted to. Honestly I felt like it would take up a lot of time (selifish reasons really) but I prayed on it and everything was pointing me to the direction to go and do it. I want to be a selfless person. I really think society makes us selfish people. We live our lives for OURSELVES. We go to school to make money for our OWN future. To better our OWN lives. Its ingrained in us to do everything for our own personal benefit and I don't think thats the way id like to live. I guess 'to each their own' but I want to raise my kids to be giving and humble and want to help others besides living and helping themselves. #end rant hehe :)
As far as my resolutions go, I would really like to:
- Cease opportunities that present themselves
- See my grandparents more often
- Be more confident
- Save money
- Work on my procrastination problem
- Read the bible more often
- Go to church once a week besides Sunday
- Pray the rosary more often
Im excited for 2012 :) its gonna be a steady year :) I think I need to blog more often!
